Please help, I do not know what is wrong?
For the past three months, I have suffered from constant intense pressure in my head. I was recently diagnosed with having a sinusitis and have now (as of today) finished taking the three-week antibiotic course of Amoxicillin. I am still suffering from these chronic congestive like headaches with no amount of abation what-so-ever. I am in a state of panic and feel I may do something drastic if these symptoms do not resolve quickly. What should I do, other than kill myself, which is the obvious next step?

Headaches are horrible, I know, I used to have to go to the hospital and get a shot to get over them, Mine felt like intense pressure also. Then just by chance a doctor put me on a holter monitor to check out my heart before surgery. It turns out I had Bigeminy, which is a irregular heartbeat, seems I had had it for years, Doctor put me on blood pressure meds, slow release to correct the Bigeminy and my headaches stopped. I would look into this. I had many doctors listen to my heart, but they never caught this, the Holtor Monitor is left on for 24 hours and then they take it off and read it, it shows up a abnormal heartbeat that does not necessarily present when you are in the doctors office, or sometimes the doctors think you are white coating, a term that means your blood pressure rises when you see a doctor.
I would say you need more extensive tests. And please do not give up, I even bought the book Final Exit, so glad I did not go through with this, because now I am headache free. I even went to a headache clinic in Ohio, and they found nothing, told me it was all in my mind.
Get yourself checked out by a good neurologist.
Sweetheart ! no need to kill yourself ! you are for sure suffering from chronic sinusitis and the infection is not fully cured. I suggest you ask you ENT specialist to do endoscopic study by which he would be able to see all the sinuses and if required he can do a small procedure and ensure that sinuses blockage is removed. Also you have to ensure that there is not fungal or viral infection. For viral infection there are sprays available which contain steroids and can give good relief. Also you have to ensure that you do not have sinusitis due to vasomotor constriction which means due to excessive emotional stress you get sinusitis due to narrowing of blood vessels. ( It is like when one cries , ones sinuses gets chocked )
Rather than long term courses of high end antibiotics , I have found penicillin ejections for 3 weeks could eradicate infection fully. Lastly in your country do you have homeopathic or aurvedic treatment available ? That has worked like miracle in some cases.
My son gets sinus infections all the time. It takes a really long time for them to go away even with antibiotics. I know how bad they are, I get them too. I would go back to the doctor and get another antibiotic. I don’t know where you’re from or if you have this, but it works pretty good for my son – Zythromax. It’s 6 pills. You take two the first day and one every day after that. Another thing my doctor told my son to do was to take clariton, or zyrtec every day, all year. Good Luck!
